Ventetia & Edmund's Dartmoor Wedding

Venetia and Edmund chose a unique church of St Michael de Rupe, Brentor for their wedding ceremony, Saturday, 15th June 2019. It's not for the faint hearted at the top of a Tor on the edge of Dartmoor National Park, Devon. The weather was very interchangeable from summer showers to glorious sun bursts and gusts of wind.

Venetia arrived with her father in a silver Landrover Defender (apparently used for an M&S Christmas advert). The wedding party prepared in the carpark at the foothill of the tor, by kicking off their posh shoes and replacing with hiking boots and wellies. Why? Because the church is at the top of a Tor (hill - rocky peak) and unreachable by car.

The wedding reception was held at The Horn of Plenty, located on the border of Devon and Cornwall, near the River Tamar at Gulworthy on the edge of Dartmoor and nearby historic town of Tavistock.
